Description: Organize and activate citizen participation through fundraising, member recruitment, public education and constituent letter – writing campaigns. Build grassroots political support on the following issues:
– Promoting clean, renewable energy
– Preventing water and air pollution
– Limiting urban sprawl
– Restoring and protecting natural areas
Qualifications: Commitment to environmental and social justice; strong communication skills – especially one-to – one interactions; team-oriented attitude.
Compensation: $315 – 400 per week; paid training; outstanding benefit package available to long – term employees-includes, paid health, 2-3 weeks paid annual vacation, and sick leave.
Advancement: Leadership and management positions available within 2-3 months, according to performance and commitment; excellent management training program; opportunities for travel and relocation to other environmental and social change organizations throughout US.
