Healthcare Foundation-Nepal (HECAF-Nepal) was founded in 1994 by several visionaries who felt there was a great need to establish a social service organization dedicated to providing accessible and affordable healthcare to the people of Nepal. HECAF-Nepal seeks to prevent disease and offer easily obtained and inexpensive healthcare to the Nepali people. The foundation sponsors the National Kidney Center, National Ambulance Center, and Nagarkot Community Health Center. The organization also is involved in promoting preventative healthcare, medical waste management, and disaster management. HECAF-Nepal receives some of its support from individuals and international organizations in kind gifts and donations.
